Gabriel Technologies Receives Most Innovative New Product Award
Award-Winning Cargo Locking System Provides Real World Results for Shippers

OMAHA, Neb., September 14, 2004 - Gabriel Technologies Corporation (PINK SHEETS: GWLK) receives the National Cargo Security Council's Most Innovative New Product Award for its WAR-LOK i-Series. Designed in conjunction with industry security leaders, the WAR-LOK i-Series provides the highest level of deterrence to cargo and full container thefts in the intermodal and marine industries.

More than 550 exhibitors were judged in three categories, Best in Show, Most Creative and Most Innovative, at the Annual NCSC Conference. Gabriel Technologies' combination of the WAR-LOK Intermodal Barrier Box (IB-10), Security Pin (IP-10), which requires a proprietary removal tool (IRT-10), was chosen as the most innovative product because it offers a simple, cost effective solution for securing cargo containers while successfully deterring thieves.

A two-part seal system, the IP-10 locking pin secures the hasp and the IB-10 cast iron barrier protects the pin. Each locking pin is individually numbered and bar-coded for easy tracking and tracing. With its easy to use design and completely reusable barrier box, the cost of the IP-10/IB-10 is comparable to a regular disposable bolt seal. But much more effective. The IB-10 fits a majority of intermodal container hasps.

“A product may be innovative, but if it doesn’t have realistic application and deliver results in a cost effective way it doesn’t help the customer battle thieves,” said John Detlefsen Gabriel Technologies Executive Vice President. "Gabriel Technologies' i-Series is not only innovative, it has never been defeated."

The WAR-LOK i-Series was created to specifically address the needs of two of the nation's largest railroads. The railroads were battling opportunistic and organized cargo theft on high value loads and needed a security solution that could realistically be implemented at a cost effective price. Gabriel's WAR-LOK IB-10 and IP-10 provided a system that could not be defeated with common theft tools and in return created time and risk for would-be-thieves.

Prior to implementation of the WAR-LOK products the railroads where suffering more than 500 seal breaches a week costing the railroads more than $1,000,000 in cargo claims annually. Upon implementation of the WAR-LOK IB-10 and IP-10 system on select high-risk loads, those problems went away and stay away due to the railroads continued use of Gabriel products.

" Gabriel is staffed with very talented and knowledgeable people that have years of experience in the industry. The high level of expertise, combine with their products, definitely makes them a contender in the cargo security marketplace," said Lowell Werner, NCSC Board Member and Exhibit Judging Committee Chair.
