FORUM TARGETS IMPROVING RAIL INDUSTRY SECURITY
Experts gather to discuss railroad, agricultural and bulk tank
protection
Omaha, Neb. – Rail industry experts
from some of the nation’s leading companies will gather
at Gabriel Technologies’ headquarters in Omaha Nov. 19 to
discuss security issues regarding the railroad, agricultural and
bulk tank industries.
Gabriel Technologies, founders of the “WAR-LOK” transportation
security product line, is co-hosting the round table with Union
Pacific Railroad and Railway Supply Group. The gathering will
take place from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Gabriel Technologies’
headquarters, 4538 South 140th Street.
“We created the round table in response to the growing need
for the development of a product that will provide effective deterrence
to pilferage and from the possible introduction of harmful contraband,”
said John Detlefsen, executive vice president of Gabriel Technologies.
“This forum will allow experts to give us greater insight
on the rail industry’s security issues, which in turn will
allow us to create a product that best addresses these issues.”
Attendees of the forum will include industry experts from ConAgra
Foods, IRECO, Bunge, Railway Supply Group and Union Pacific.
